PASC Host 2019 Armagh Championships
For now a date for all big pool swimmers’ diary – Sat 23rd Feb. PASC will be hosting the Armagh Championships for the final time at Cascades. Next time we’ll be in the new pool at South Lakes. Our swimmers always enjoy this event and we are delighted to be hosting Armagh, Lurgan and Newry back again. That’s been a quick 4 years. We’ll be needing the support of one parent per family and there’s a job for everyone be it practical / admin before / after the event. Please just leave your name at the club desk and any preference. Thanks in advance for your support.
This is a novice gala suitable for all our yellow, red and green squad swimmers who have not won at a gala previously. The event will be held in Newry Leisure Centre on the morning of Sat 3rd Nov and anyone who qualifies in the heats will take part in the finals that afternoon. Please give your name at the club desk for now and if you have any questions feel free to speak to your child’s coach. PTL swimmers who are also taking part in the Arthur McDonald gala will have a quick turnaround to be back at Cascades for the 2nd PTL Gala…no problem to you. With both galas on 3rd Nov, it means no resting during the mid-term break. Training will take place as normal including Halloween night with some treats for your commitment. Let’s go PASC.
In preparation for the Arthur McDonald and PTL Gala on 3rd November we are encouraging as many PASC swimmers to register for the Halloween Camp at Cascades from Monday 29th Oct – Fri 2nd November. It will include land training from 9-10.00 am, followed by swim training 10-11.00 am. Please register your interest at the club desk this Wednesday.
Good luck to everyone taking part in this event. In previous years we’ve have had great success at this gala with swimmers even qualifying for the Irish Minor Schools and making finals and winning medals! Be sure to cheer on your PASC friends who are part of another schools team and to share your photos with us.
